Author: MARCI GIARDINA (DAYSIEDUKE@AOL.COM) Ah, ah, ah, ah STAYIN' ALIVEEEEEEEEE! Oh, my sweet, sweet Disco Ball Cake! Side note before I begin this review, while we're on the subject of Disco - JOHN TRAVOLTA was literally 20 mintues from me at Tanglewood on July 5th to help celebrate James Taylor's birthday during his concert here in the Berkshires (James Taylor lives here!). Imagine a crowd of 20,000 people at Tanglewood, stunned frozen, when John Travolta, the king of Disco himself, comes running out on stage during James' cover of the Dixie Chicks' "Some Days You Gotta Dance" and starts singing! Awesome!
Okay, enough of that. Disco Ball Cake, how I love thee! The day I got this, I smothered myself in this scent. It came, I saw, and lord, I sprayed. I went grocery shopping soon after. My friend Paula, who works at the grocery store says, "Wow, what is that smell? It smells so good!" I say proudly, "That's me! It's a perfume called 'Disco Ball Cake!'" Paula laughs and says, "WHAT is it called?!" (Meanwhile, people started to somewhat gather...) I said, "Disco Ball Cake! I bought it from a site called Starring Fragrances online! Check them out!"
Usually I don't like scents with Lime and Pink Cotton Candy in the same sentence, but my oh my, there is an exception to every rule, and this is it. Luscious wedding cake, full bodied, with a light hint of lime, sweet coconut, fluffy pink cotton candy and at the end, a note of yummy orange frosting! Foody & Tropical! How can you go wrong?
